The Cafritz family is committed to working closely with
the local community to make this development a point of
pride for the area. By working with area residents, our
team hopes to develop and implement a plan that incorporates
mixed-use community spaces with public amenities and access
to Metro, MARC rail and the surrounding neighborhoods.
The Cafritz family held the fourth and fifth community workshops
last week at the Riverdale Park Elementary School on Thursday,
July 26, and Saturday, July 28. The development team presented
design principles to the attending residents based on feedback
it received from the initial three meetings. The team also
presented participants with information on subjects such
as the history of the property, livability, environmental
sustainability, business and retail opportunities, transportation,
culture and community. Additionally, attendees were encouraged
to provide ideas and thoughts on the project during this
open forum and through the project website.
